周四（14日）是法国国庆日，当地时间晚间尼斯（Nice）发生大卡车冲撞人群事件，现场目击者称现场传出枪响，根据法国媒体报导至少有77人死亡，120人受伤。

根据法国《费加洛报》（Le Figaro），死伤人数达到77人，另外有16人状况危急。

根据“巴黎人日报”（Le Parisien）报导，当地警方判断，这起发生在著名景点“英国人散步道”（Promenade des Anglais）的事件可能是“攻击”，驾驶白色卡车的司机可能已被击毙，似乎还有一人逃逸。

警方称在卡车上搜到爆炸物与军火。法国内政部长卡泽诺夫（Bernard Cazeneuve）正在赶往尼斯现场，总理瓦斯（Manuel Valls）在巴黎等待总统奥朗德（François Hollande）从亚维农赶回。

有生还者对法国电视台《BFMTV》表示，当时货柜车辗过所有人，“就像是在打保龄球”。
